Detective Conan - Interactive Stage Play

It has been announced by the Shogakukan and Kinokuniya Southern Theater that there would be a stage play adaptation of Aoyama Gosho's Detective Conan (Case Closed) manga.

The first round of the play "Mystery Stage Detective Conan: Satsui no Kaien Bell" (The Curtain-Rising Bell of Murderous Intent) would be starred by live-action Sailor Moon's Tsukino Usagi, Sawai
Miyuu, Aoyama Masashi, Fujita Ray, Nemoto Masakazu, Maybe, Hamamoto Yutaka, and Ayata Toshiki with Conan's voice actress, Takayama Minami and Ran's Yamazaki Wakana . In line with that, Mori Hayashi (Space Dandy) would be in-charge of writing the scripts.

The play is said to be interactive because it will involve the audience in a mystery murder case. At the same time, they must solve the mystery with the help of Conan's wit. The play will run from June 4 to June 15 at the Kinokuniya Southern Theater in Tokyo's Shibuya ward.

Karina's Dating Rumor

On February 19th, it was reported that model/actress Karina (29) is in a relationship with a Taiwanese man living in Hawaii.

According to sources, Karina met the man at a language school on the island of Oahu that she has been attending during her leisure time since last year. Their encounter led to a serious relationship.

Fukuyama Masaharu Release Album after 4 years and 9 months

Fukuyama Masaharu has announced that he will be releasing a new album titled "HUMAN " on April 2nd, 2014. Fukuyama released his last album "Zankyou " back in June of 2009, making this his first original album release in about 4 years and 9 months. His 11th album will be a 2-disc set. DISC 1 will consist of 9 songs including the CM songs for Asahi Super Dry, while DISC 2 will consist of 9 songs including all singles he's released since 2011 to 2013, as well as a self cover of KOH＋'s "Koi no Maryoku". The jacket cover features a cross sectional x-ray of Fukuhara's brain.

The album will be available for purchase in 3 different versions: Limited Edition with MUSIC CLIP
COLLECTION DVD, Limited Edition with Goods, and Regular Edition. The DVD will contain PVs of his singles from 2011 to 2013, and of his brand new song " HUMAN". As for the Limited Edition with Goods, it will come with a scarf towel.

Sekai no Owari - New Single and DVD Release

It's been revealed that SEKAI NO OWARI will simultaneously release their new single "Honoo to Mori no Carnival" and live DVD "Honoo to Mori no Carnival in 2013 " on April 9.

The single's title track is a pop tune that was composed with the keyword "TOKYO FANTASY". It will come in 3 different types: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. The Limited Edition A DVD will contain the PV for "Honoo to Mori no Carnival", while the Limited
Edition B DVD will contain the recording documentary for the song.

The live DVD will feature the one-man live 'Honoo to Mori no Carnival' which was held on member Fukase 's (Vo) birthday, October 13. It will include a total of 18 tracks.

Oguri Shun New Drama

It was revealed that actor Oguri Shun will be starring in new drama " BORDER", which will be his first starring drama on TV Asahi.

"BORDER" is newly written by the Naoki Prize winning novelist/ scriptwriter Kaneshiro Kazuki ("GO", "SP Keishichou Keibi-bu Keigo-ka Dai 4-gakari"), and reportedly, Kaneshiro wrote the story with Oguri in mind. In the drama, Oguri will play a detective named "Ishikawa Ango" who has a special ability to be able to communicate with the dead.

Detective Ishikawa was shot in the head during a case, but he was miraculously resuscitated. When he came back to life, he was gifted with a special ability to communicate.with dead people. Using the ability, Ishikawa elicits the testimonies from the killed victims, and tries to solve difficult cases.

Other main cast members include Aoki Munetaka (as Ishikawa's rival detective "Tachibana Yuma"), Haru (as a special medical examiner "Higa Mika"), and Endo Kenichi (as Ishikawa's boss "Ichikura Takuji"). Furuta Arata, Takito Kenichi , Nomaguchi Toru , and Hamano Kenta will also appear in the drama. "BORDER" will begin airing in April on TV Asahi (every Thursday at 9:00 pm).

flumpool : Waku Waku Japan Music Festival 2014

On February 15th, 2014, WAKUWAKU JAPAN held a music
festival as part of their
launching promotion. They invited JKT48, Afgan, BCL, and flumpool.

JKT48 opened the show with their hits, Musim Panas Sounds Good, Ponytail, and River. The strong River dance is really good and most of the top members like
Melody, Haruka, Nabilah, Ayana
and Veranda were on the stage
giving their best performance.
After their performance, the MC, Shopie, asked about their role for WAKUWAKU JAPAN. They said that they’ll be WAKUWAKU JAPAN’s supporting ambassador for promoting the tv launch. Ayana added that she loves watching Japanese drama, while Ghaida said she likes to watch Japanese anime.

Right after JKT48 performed Sophie called Afgan. This phenomenal and cute singer
performed his hits throughout the show and he even covered the famous ballad by Brian Mcknight, One Last Cry. Since most of his songs are ballad songs and made people feeling blue or reminisced the good old days, he said to the fans that hopefully all the boys that night will find their soul mate soon, and perhaps it will be the member of JKT48. It was followed by the sound of
“AMEN..!” with all the males shouted out loud in the venue. He sang the hits like Dia Dia Dia, Terima Kasih Cinta, Bawalah Pergi Cintaku, One Last Cry, Jodoh Pasti Bertemu and Panah Asmara.

Bunga Citra Lestari or publicly known as BCL, stood out in her
performance. She sang her best hits like Hot, Sunny, Jangan Gila, Cinta Sejati, Aku dan Dirimu, Karena Ku Cinta Kau. The funny moment is when the JKT 48’s fans change the Sunny lyrics to their
favorite member’s name. But
anyway her live is always fun to watch.

flumpool finally hit the stage.
They rocked the venue with their hits like Kakusei Identity, their first debut song Hana ni nare, Taisetsuna mono kimi igai ni miataranakute, Over the rain (the original soundtrack for Bloody Monday drama starring Miura Haruma and Takeru Satoh), Hoshi ni Negai wo, and it was closed with Kimi ni Todoke (the original soundtrack of Kimi ni Todoke movie starring Miura Haruma).
Their fans came brought the
concert attribute and posters to support them. During their live performance, they introduced themselves in Bahasa Indonesia, they even used the slang term.

Kazuki shouted, “Hai, Kami flumpool! Kalian bersenang-senang? Terima kasih. Kalian tahu flumpool? Ciyus? Saya cinta kalian!”

During the introduction, they
showed their skit skill for
Indonesian audience.

After Over the rain, Ryuta tried to speak in Bahasa Indonesia again. This time is longer, but he has the note, so no worries.

After they ended the performance, Sophie asked their feelings to have the performance in Indonesia. Ryuta said he’s very happy and the crowd is hot so he wants to go back again. Seiji was asked whether he can speak any
Indonesian or not then again, he only answered one word, “No”. A very simple and short answer like he did in press conference and it always made the people who see it laugh.

Ryuta was asked about the
Indonesian girls and he said that the girls are so cute. He said, now he can’t speak Indonesian very well and that he wants to learn again.

Random question to Genki’s hair, whether it is a real curl or not, and Genki said it’s a wig, only then he said it was a joke though. They said they’re happy to be part of the festival and they want to come again if they’re invited because even though flumpool is not well known in Jakarta, but people can connect easily with their music.

The event was closed with the hits from JKT48, Flying Get and
Fortune Cookies.

Writer: Well, this is the last
installment of this column. Let's
give it our all! If we make this
ending the best we can, it'll all be
worth it. On the other hand, if the
ending isn't great, it'll ruin EVERYTHING.

Yasuno: Hey, hey! You're the
writer, right? (Laughs) What's the
big idea, putting those thoughts in
my head?! (Laughs) Anyway, aren't
I the host for today?

Writer: Yes. All of this rests on the
host's shoulders--

Yasuno: HEY HEY HEY, come on!
(Laughs)

Nao: It's already fall, but it's
reaching 30C outside. We have the
AC on in the room, and my body...it feels....cold. (Said with conviction in monologue-style)

Writer: ..............

Nao: (Gathers his joke fell on deaf
ears) Hm? Is something wrong?

Yasuno: Somethin' wrong?! You're
the one with somethin' wrong, ha!
At this point, who's to say if we're

about drumming the entire time,

Yasuno: At any rate, Nao, to whom
I'm inseparably bound to, has come in today. Nao, we met, what,
like over 15 years ago?

Nao: Is that how it's starting? I don't think it was more than 15
years, but at least 10 years ago.

Yasuno: Yeah, yeah, when I was in
the band before Kra, in Niigata.
We were just finishing up
rehearsals at Nagoya's Heartland, I
think that's when we first spoke.

Nao: Oh yeah! We played together
that night, I was in my band prior
to Alice Nine then.

Yasuno: Yeah, yeah! We talked
about how our getting into playing
the drums as a hobby was similar,
it got me all excited! That was the
first thing we talked about.

Nao: Notti (Yasuno's nickname)
helped carry my China dress in for
me. I thought, awe, he's a really
nice guy. Back then, we still didn't
know much about visual kei, so
there was still a lot of learning to
do.

Yasuno: Is that so?! Ahh, it was
that time, wasn't it. There were a
lot of bands around at that time,
we played with about 10 of 'em.
Oh, but y'know, what I remember
most is when we had just gotten
signed and did the PSC tour with
everyone in 2005.

Nao: Yay! We all traveled in one
big bus. Oh, yeah! While we were
on the bus we'd watch footage of
the day's concert. All the bands
would review each other ...Aaah,
that was awwwful!

Yasuno: Hahaha! It was kinda like
an open execution, wasn't it!

Nao: Yeah, but because of that,
our vocalist, Shou, he said to me,
"Yasuno gave me some great
advice!" And he was so grateful.
Such a sweet 'senpai,' I thought.

Yasuno: Oh wow, you remember
that talk, huh? Yeah, I feel like
because of that, we all grew a bit
closer together.

Nao: That was over 8 years ago.
Yasuno: Yeah, it was a fun time.

Mr. Pay...

Nao: Ah!! I've got a funny story
from that tour! At that time, Saga
and I shared a hotel room! And
the day after that while we were
waiting for the bus to head out,
they told us "Somebody give us the fees for the paycard, they need to settle the bill!" That was from my and Saga's room.

Writer: A paycard...that's a card
you use to pay extra to watch
naughty movies, isn't it?

Nao: Yes, yes (laughs). But they
don't have just porn, they have
regular movies too! (Laughs) Well,
it seems to have mostly an
association with porn, though. At
any rate, I got called out when
they asked for the extra cash!

Writer: AHAHAHA! If it's Saga and
Nao, Nao's the culprit, huh?

Nao: Yeah! Saga wanted to watch
some American movies, and I
actually ended up wanting to check
out some porn. Ahhh, this is an
embarrassing storyyyy (laughs). I
got the nickname "Mr. Pay" that
day! And thus began my own
personal tragedy--for about 3 years after that, everyone called me Mr. Pay!

Yasuno: Ahaha, that did happen,
didn't it! Speaking of Nao,
something happened with you
when we went on tour again with
one other band, didn't it! It was
when we were transferring buses.
Nao was supposed to sit next to me and Saga, and we were on our way to the live house in Nagoya, and just as we were about to get on the bus and head out a staff
member was verifying that we were all there. "Everyone here?" And Saga says "Yes! We're all lined up!" And I was like, "Huh? I coulda
sworn Nao was here, I guess he
changed seats." And sure enough,
we made it to maybe the first
traffic light, and we realized, "Ah,
yep, Nao isn't here." (Laughs) So
we turn around and go back, and it
turns out Nao had been pushing
other people waiting on buses out
of the way as he was desperately
trying to catch up to the bus.
(Laughs)

Writer: Saga screws you over a lot,
doesn't he, Nao? (Laughs)

Nao: It's so true though, totally!!
(Laughs)

Writer: We're gonna revive the 'Mr. Pay' nickname starting today!!

Nao: NO WAY!! (Laughs) And you
know my fans are probably like
"Nao's a little fairy, he wouldn't

Nao: Notti's super original with his
composition of his set-up, he's
really unique.

Writer: Nao's bass drum looks a lot
bigger than Notti's, though.

Yasuno: They're the same size, but
they look different due to how we
set up our drums. My setting has
them all up a bit higher, while
Nao's drums are set lower.

Nao: Yes, yes! And that's why it
looks bigger!

Yasuno: And the drums I have set
up above the bass drum are full-
sized, so that also makes mine look smaller.

Nao: That makes a lot of sense!
But hey, y'know, for drummers,
setting up the drums depends on
play style and personality! In that
respect I think Notti's a little
greedy (laughs). But I don't mean
he sets them up in a gaudy fashion, he just aligns everything
up according to his feelings. You
can set it up to accommodate any
style!

Yasuno: Yeah, that's true. I
remember getting the chance to sit at your drum set once and
thinking, Nao's drum set is really
set up for rock music! But Nao, he's a serious guy. I don't think I
know of any other musician who
practices as hard as he does. At
least in the past, he seemed to
spend more time in the studio
practicing than people who
actually worked in the studio!

Nao: Yeah, I was, I was! I'd get the
studio around lunchtime, and I
wouldn't get home until midnight,
1, 2, 3am sometimes. After that I'd watch instructional DVDs, then
work on musical scores: then I'd
sleep, then go back to the studio
and practice some more, over and
over. Inside, I felt like I got a later
start than everyone else, so I
practiced with every ounce of my
being.

Yasuno: Really? But it seemed to
come so naturally to you!

Nao: No no no, I had to work really hard at it.

Yasuno: That is amazing. With
such little free time to yourself,
having an opportunity to just sit
and chat like this would never
happen!

Writer: So you guys have never
hung out together?

Yasuno: Nope.

Nao: I don't even go out to go
shopping! I do it all online.

Yasuno: Really?!

Nao: Yep! (Laughs) This morning I
bought a mattress online! (Laughs)
And then, and then, I bought
ingredients for cooking! And, and,
and I set up an appointment, right? For the delivery guy to bring
my stuff. So the doorbell ringing
with my orders has become my
alarm clock! (Laughs)

Nao the Happy Egpplant Man...

Yasuno: AHAHAHA! Don't make the delivery guy your alarm clock!
(Laughs) So, what kind of
ingredients did you buy?

Nao: Vacuum-packed pork in broth, and some mackerel! (Laughs)

Writer: What about vegetables?

Nao: Oh, I go to a greengrocer
nearby to get those (laughs). Oh,
but for a little while, I grew my
own!

Yasuno: EH?! You grew veggies
yourself?! DO TELL.

Writer: Oh yeah, I remember you
saying you had rented part of a
field to plant things!

Yasuno: Wait, you rented a field...?

Nao: Yes (laughs). I rented a plot
of land for growing, and I
cultivated them myself! I actually
started growing on my veranda,
but transferred it to the field
(laughs).

Yasuno: Do you still do it??

Nao: Right now I don't, but I think
if I get some more time, I'd like to
do it again!

Yasuno: Well, if ya do, wouldja like
some guidance from a farmer's boy like me?

Nao: Oh, really?! Yes, please!!

Yasuno: Well, y'know, I'm from an
onion farm in Awaji, after all
(laughs).

Nao: Aaaah, that's soooo cool. But
hey, the veggies I grew were
especially delicious!

Yasuno: What did you grow?

Nao: EGGPLANT! Oh, god, they
were so tasty I couldn't believe it!
I'd harvest them and grill them
afterwards and they were SO
GOOD! I was so surprised!!

Writer: But, if you were always
practicing or going on tour,
whenever did you find the time to
grow eggplants?

Nao: Oh, that! Yeah, well, I
couldn't go during the day, so at
night I would go to fertilize the
plants, and people would think I
was up to no good, and I got
reported! (Laughs)

Yasuno: Ahahaha! What, did
someone think you were stealing
the vegetables?! (Laughs) What
else did you grow?

Nao: Hmm, I grew tomatoes! And
basil! And lettuce! I grew a lot of
different things.

Yasuno: That's so coooool! (In
admiration) But...why on earth did
you decide to grow vegetables?

Nao: Well, in a world where you
can get ahold of anything you want
so quickly and easily, I just felt like
going back to basics. I wanted to
feel the joys of life! That sort of
thing.

Yasuno: ...Waitasec. You just said
you only shop online. Aren't you
kinda contradicting yourself a bit?!

Nao: Ahahaha...yeah, a little.
(Laughs)

Let's go drinking!

Yasuno: Is there anything you've
been obsessed over lately?

Nao: Lately? Yes, yes there is!

Yasuno: What is it? Tell me!
(Laughs)

Nao: Nitamago! (boiled egg in soy
sauce marinade)

Yasuno: Nitamago?!

Nao: Yeah, yeah! (Laughs) I've
really gotten into making it myself! (Laughs) No really, it's so tasty! It takes some time to make it, but once you do, IT IS SO GOOD!

Writer: Really tasty things are the
best, aren't they!

Yasuno: The trick for good
nitamago is to soft-boil the yolk!

Nao: Yeah! To get it that amber
color!

Writer: How do you do that?

Nao: It's a secret! (Laughs) That's
a trade secret . But, I make it over
the span of several days. It takes a
lot of effort, but the fruits of one's
labor is definitely sweet!

Yasuno: Dang, Nao, you're a
strange fellow! Up on stage you're
rocking out playing the drums, but
you farm, and make nitamago...

Nao: A gap, there's a gap. (laughs)

Writer: For some people the gap
can be weak, isn't that right?
(Laughs)

Yasuno: For real (laughs). I'd really
like to chat about even more
interesting things with you, Nao!

Writer: Maybe go drinking
sometime?

Yasuno: Yeah, we've never done
that!

Nao: Definitely invite me! (Laughs)

Yasuno: Well, I have gone to a
drinking party you hosted once!

Nao: Oh yeah, you have!

Yasuno: I do believe I remember
Nao to be quite the weepy drunk.

Nao: Ahahaha! I may have even
cried! Let's definitely spend some

RADWIMPS will Participate on the next Japan Music Festival on June

For the very first time, popular
rock band RADWIMPS will be
performing in Singapore as part of their RADWIMPS GRAND PRIX 2014 tour, on June 7, 2014.

RADWIMPS will be performing at TAB for the Singapore stop of their tour. The tour started on February 5 at Takasaki club FLEEZ in Japan. They are scheduled to
hold a total of 44 shows at 33 venues, which includes their first overseas live performances in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

RADWIMPS was first formed in
2001, whose 5 original members were friend since middle school. Their activities centred around Yokohama, while attending school. In 2002, they were awarded the
grand prize at the Yokohama High School Music Festival, with the song “Moshi mo”, which was subsequently released as their debut single in May 2003. Their first album was also released in the same year in July through the
independent label, Newtraxx.
The members then went on hiatus to focus on studies after a further guest appearance at the Yokohama High School Music Festival.

In March 2004, members Kei Aso, Yusuke Saiki and Akio Shibafumi decided not to resume band activities. RADWIMPS resumed activities with new members Satoshi Yamaguchi and Yusuke Takeda, who were acquaintances of the original members when they met at the Yokohama High
School Music Festival. In between 2 tours, the band recorded and released their second album in March 2005.

In November the same year, they made their major debut under Toshiba EMI with “Nijugoko-me no Senshokutai”, charting in the top 50. Their major breakthrough came with the release of their 3rd
album, which charted at 13th place on the Oricon charts. They achieved 2 number one singles with the release of “Order Made” and “Dada” in 2008 and 2011. Their 5th album was also certified
Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Their 7th album, “X to O to Tsumi to” was released in December 2013, and also in Singapore on February 14, 2014. The band will be on tour in 2014.

Bump of Chicken 1st Album [2]

Still on the same day [2013.07.03], BoC released another best album (2005 - 2010). For me, I'm kinda confused which one will I buy, but for everyone who love them more than me, if you'rr their true fans (and if you have money) it's good to be able to buy them all.

My favourite songs from this album are
● Karma, it's a good song made by Motoo-san. The instrumental and arrange version also include in his solo album for The Tale of Abyss. You must try to listen to that album! That's saikou!
● Supernova is kinda boring song since the melody is just round and around. But I love the lyric. It's so deep and teach me that I must say thanks to God for everthing He gave me, whether it's big or small. Because happiness is simple. You can breath the fresh air for free, it's a happiness. Thanks God for give me chance to live my own life!
● 涙のふつさと, when the first time I read the title, I imagine that this is a mellow sad song. But I was wrong! It's a fresh and full joy, I think. So, when I miss my hometown, it's not a bad feeling anymore!
● 花の名, as usual Motoo has his own creativity to write the lyric. I love all of his works! It's a mellow song that can make me smile!
● R.I.P
● 魔法の料理, make me sad everytime I watch the PV. This song make me realize how precious family is.

Bump of Chicken 1st Best Album

Finally BoC released their first best album (1999 - 2004) ! For everyone who didn't know them, maybe this album is the best step to start. The album which is released on July 3rd, 2013 is ¥2,800(tax in) I think they'll release another best album later!

My favourite song is Snow Smile! Relaxing, nostalgic, especially when I listen while watching the PV. Hiro-kun was so cute there! Though his cuteness hide behind his shyness, lol.

Synopsis: Saigo Ryusuke (Nakai Kiichi), who was born and raised in  coastal town in Tohoku, becomes the manager of the branch office of a local credit union. He builds a modest house on a small hill overlooking the sea and lives happily with his beautiful wife Asako (Higuchi Kanako), mother Nami (Yoshiyuki Kazuko) and daughter Chiaki (Kuroki Meisa) who works at the city hall. On one of Ryusuke’s days off work, the Saigos head to the house of Chiaki’s boyfriend Hamaguchi Shuichi (Watanabe Dai) for the first meeting between both sets of parents. The Hamaguchi have been fishermen for generations. There is Shuichi’s taciturn father Katsumi (Yanagiba Toshiro), mother Masayo (Kishimoto Kayoko), grandfather Kichiya (Hashizume Isao), grandmother Iku (Baisho Mitsuko) and younger brother Mitsuhiko (Kamiki Ryunosuke). Chiaki, who dreams of being active in national politics someday in the future, has given this condition in her marriage to Shuichi. Ryusuke and his wife have mixed feelings about their daughter’s marriage to a fisherman’s family, but it is also the same with the Hamaguchis. However, Chiaki and Shuichi are firm in their decision to marry and both families consent to their children’s marriage. At a dinner party, Ryusuke and Katsumi both realise that they are junior high school classmates.
 

However, five days later on 11 March 2011, an earthquake and tsunami strikes eastern Japan and the destinies of the two families are drastically changed. The tsunami claims the lives of Masayo, Iku and Shuichi. The Hamaguchis also lose both house and boat. On the other hand, the Saigos escape harm because their house is on high ground. Chiaki is swamped with work to the extent that she has no interlude to feel sad over the loss of her fiance. Wanting to be of help to the Hamaguchis, Ryusuke and Asako make an offer to them to stay in their house. However, on the night of the visit of Katsumi, Kichiya and Mitsuhiko to the Saigos, havoc ensues …

Acid Black Cherry also keeps us pretty busy with the release of singles - or at least he did so last year.
 

Though finally he has announced a new single for the new year as well! It will be released on March 11th!

flumpool - 5th Anniversary [Interview]

After had an event in Indonesia, on the next morning [2014.02.16] flumpool flied to Singapore to do fans meeting and acoustic mini concert.

Back to their past days, Ryuta Yamamamura (Vocal), Kazuki Sakai (Guitar), and Genki Amakawa (Bass) were performing as an acoustic band and later, Seiji Ogura (Drums) joined to form flumpool in Januari, 2007. In 2008, their first single (online downloading only) “Hana ni nare” was taken for AU “LISMO!” TV commercial which was vastly broadcasted and there were a million of downloads for just the first 10 days. Their second online downloading single “Over the rain~ Hikari no hanshi~” became the theme song of the TBS drama “Bloody Monday” and also got high ranking in the music chart. Since then they have packed schedules and they now are in their way to conquer Asia.

This is the interview between Kojacon and flumpool. Enjoy reading!

Kojacon (K) : Last night, after your performance in Jakarta, what is the most special memory you had during the live in Jakarta?

Ryuta : I remembered we spoke in Bahasa Indonesia. It is a challenge for us. We try our best to speak Indonesian. We memorized it over and over…

K : Did you try our Indonesian cuisine?

All : Yes! They’re so delicious!!! Enak*! (*Delicious in Indonesian)

Ryuta : Enak! Mantap*! (The best in Indonesian) I ate Rendang. It’s a seasoned beef. What else…hm…

Kazuki : I ate a lot.

Ryuta : Es campur, Sate Ayam… Nasi Goreng.

Genki : Everything was delicious!

K : Did you try durian?

Genki : Impossible! I can’t stand the smell. If I put it in the refrigerator, then my refrigerator will all smell like durian.

Ryuta : There are many people like durian, right? Do you like durian?

K : I eat it, it’s delicious but the smell is strong though.

Ryuta : Like natto?

K : Yes, yes…

Seiji : I never eat durian because I think I won’t like the smell.

Kazuki : Well, well… I ate it. I can eat it although the smell is strong. The taste is ok for me.

K : Ok then, soon you will release your first best album. Can you tell us the charming point of the album?

Genki : Hmmm, the charming point of the album. Well, I really love the song titled ‘Taisetsuna mono kimi igai ni miataranakute” in this album. I can’t find any reasonable answer of why I like this song, it’s just that… I love this song.

Kazuki : I think the charming point of the album is the fact that I composed the songs in this album haha…

Ryuta : Hm…SO MANY!!!! You know, this album will insert the songs before our debut time. When we’re still indie band, we also produced songs and we will insert some of the songs inside this best album. The album’s charming point is that the fans can listen to the old and recent flumpool. I think fans will know more about our music after listening to this album.

Seiji : I love all of the songs in this best album, but the charming point of this album for me is still “Hana ni nare” because this is the song that brought us to major debut. I want more fans to listen to this song because this song has a deep meaning to life. I want this album to give strength to the listeners.

K : After years together in a band, what makes you feel that you’re glad to be in flumpool now?

Ryuta : For me, flumpool who can sing both rock and ballad is really cool. We are also happy that our music can be accepted in different countries outside Japan. We played in Taiwan, Singapore, and Indonesia. We are happy to sing various genres for our fans. All in all, the flexibility.that we have in flumpool’s music is what makes us glad to be in flumpool.

K : You’ve been together for so long, do you notice any specific changes from the other members?

Genki : Actually since we’re together for so long, I hardly notice any changes. I feel nothing’s changed in us.

Kazuki : Ah!! Ryuta!! He is changed! Actually, we originally came from Osaka, but since we moved to Tokyo, this guy, Ryuta, he has lost his Kansai-ben* (kansai dialect). He now no longer uses Kansai-ben.

Ryuta : NANDE YANEN!! (Trying using kansai-ben but with a strange dialect).

Kazuki : See! See!! That’s a fake dialect! He can’t use the Kansai-ben anymore!

All : (laugh)

K: The last question is about your national tour this year, can you tell us about your preparation so far?

Ryuta : Preparation…more or less the preparation will be similar to our 5th Anniversary at Budokan DVD.

Kazuki : This new DVD will consist the digest of our special two days live in Budokan. Approximately if you’re talking about the preparation, it will be pretty much like the documentary in the DVD released in Taiwan and Singapore soon in 18 February.

Ryuta : Yes, for our next national tour, fans will be able to know about how we prepare the tour from this DVD. Personally, I recommend the listeners to pay more attention to “Hana ni Nare” and “Tsuyoku Hakanaku” that will be in our best album song list. These songs, teach people to stand up and get stronger. We hope many people will listen to our music, or our fans to buy the best album and also the DVD then recommend other people to listen to our music too. I hope our fans still support our music when we’re looking forward to our next 5 years ahead. Time really flies fast. Suddenly we’re talking ahead about our 10th year hahaha… When fans listen to our best album, and watched our 5th anniversary at Budokan DVD, they will know our journey as flumpool and that’s what we have prepared so far for the national tour.

Leo Ieiri PV 'a boy'

The PV for Ieiri Leo's new song 'a boy' has been revealed to be a collaborated with the protagonist "Leo" from 'Jungle Emperor' which is known more as 'Kimba the White Lion '.

Tezuka Production's animation director Nishida Masayoshi was in charge of the anime in the PV while Ito Gabin takes charge of fusing the anime with the real video image.

The Tezuka Production heard that the name "Leo" which is Ieiri's stage name basically adapted from
Leo of 'Kimba the White Lion. And as scheduled for release on February 19, the full version will be included in the limited edition. It has been explained by the chief producer Yumoto Hiroyuki that this project was planned because the song 'a boy' closely relates on the theme of Jungle Emperor.
 

Though the Jungle Emperor goes for three generations, it is indeed a story of Leo's coming-of-age from child to adult. Moreover, Ieiri hopes that those people who had gone into difficulties and sufferings in life like her will watch the video.

Lost Ryuuta

As I said before, we got information that Ryuuta Yamamura of flumpool will come late to Indonesia but still on the same day. But, we didn't think that he would come from Taiwan! We just thought he would depart from Narita Japan or Singapore. But Taiwan? It wasn't on our mind! Flumpool will hold concert in Taiwan too, but after Singapore. So we think he'd come from Singapore. We have already waited for hours in front of gate 2E without knowing where he would come out from. I'm afraid he came from 2D, where other members came first. Yah, it's destiny after all. We couldn't meet at the airport and in tomorrow press conference, but hope we can meet in the venue!

See you tomorrow, guys! Let's enjoy the lives for the sake who can't join it!

flumpool - Waku Waku Japan Press Conference

On Saturday, February 15th, flumpool who will be Japan representative on a live called Waku Waku Japan Music Festival which held on the same day, did a press conference at 4 pm. But, the press conference was started a little bit late, around 30 minutes behind the schedule. However, the mc, Sophie Navita opened the event cheerfully. She explained a bit about WAKUWAKU means in Indonesian which means heartbeat with lots of examples. Anyway, later she invited the guest stars to greet the media.

Afgan came first and posed. He wears such casual outfit, yellow shirt and jeans then greeted the media. Then Bunga Citra Lestari or commonly known as BCL came after. Another greeting and pose. She is so stunning today and look so fresh. Later then JKT 48 appeared, only six members appeared though. flumpool appeared last. They greeted everyone with their never ending smile.

Sophie asked some questions to the guest stars, the first question to Afgan is about his favorite Japanese tv show. He said he loves Japanese cartoons. Then BCL answered what she loves most about Japan is the food. She loves any cuisine from Japan. When JKT48 was asked about their favorite food, Haruka answered that she likes bakso (Indonesian meatballs), satay, and nasi goreng. Haruka is so cute that everyone keeps praising her Indonesian language. Finally, the spotlight, flumpool greeted everyone with Bahasa Indonesia. Ryuta said “Selamat sore, nama saya Ryuta, vokalis*” (Good afternoon, my name is Ryuta, the vocalist), then followed by Genki, Seiji then Kazuki.

They were asked whether this is the first time they come to Indonesia and how they feel to be in Indonesia. Ryuta answered that they are happy to be invited in the event. Then the mc asked Seiji whether he has ever gone to Indonesia, for example Bali, to go for a holiday. It was a sudden question to Seiji and he’s quite surprised then smiled shyly, “No, sorry.” The answer is so short that he keeps making everyone laughs with the answer.

The mc, Sophie, is so funny. She kept saying that she can’t stand with Genki’s hair which covers his eyes and asked whether he actually can see well because of the hair. Ryuta explained that they were in Jakarta, Indonesia for four days. He said that everyone in Jakarta is so energetic. He added that the girls in Indonesia are cute and smart. Ryuta also imformed that flumpool will play 6 songs in the event, and all songs are in Japanese.

It was a very short press conference without Q&A from the reporters and it was closed with the photo session.

Welcome to Indonesia, Flumpool!

Hello, this is my very first real live report!

This Saturday, flumpool will hold a concert with Afgan, Bunga Citra Lestari, and JKT48 on a show called Waku Waku. It will be held in Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC) hall Cendrawasih on 7 pm.

This morning suddenly I got a news saying that flumpool will come to Indonesia today. My friend asked me to come with her and together we go to airport. Fyi, this is my first time to go to airport, and it's for flumpool! How fate it is! I hope I could do it again, meet lots of wonderful people, or even go to Japan someday.

You know, this information is TOP SECRET! We felt a deep dillema, whether told the other fans or not. If we told them, flumpool will feel our warmness and think that they have many fans in Indonesia. So they'll re-think to come here again. But, the LO will not trust us again. And if we didn't tell them (like what we did afterall), we are exclusive! But flumpool might think they don't have fans and won't come here again (T ^ T)

Their flight was JAL and landed on 16.55 West Indonesia Time. We arrived too early but it didn't matter. Then we waited at terminal 2D, worrying which gate they'll come from. But our question was answered. The Indonesia staff, LO, and bodyguard was coming! We were dillema again, whether tell thwm that we are flumpool fans or keep silent. But what we do is the last one. But maybe the staff have already knew about it. So we approached one of them and give her our presents for flumpool. When we went back to our standing point, the bodyguard came. Firstly I thought he'll say that we are annoying or whatever bad things. But he just said, "When they are coming, don't overdo by screaming, okay?"

We waited and waited, finally we could see them! The first person I saw maybe Seiji, because of his blonde hair. But, what happenend? Where is Ryuta? We could only see Genki, Seiji, and Kazuki, but no Ryuta! Actually Ryuta take other flight. We don't know the reason, all we thought were... he was over sleep on the flight time. Bug, according to information we got, he might arrived today to. We checked on the board, there was a flight from Narita on 18.00. But it wasn't JAL, it was Garuda Indonesia. Can you imagine Ryuta take that flight? I'm afraid I can't. But we still tried to wait until 7 pm, with zero point! We couldn't find him anywhere. And there wasn't staff who picked him. So we assumed that he isn't come today, but tomorrow morning!

Ah, forgot to say. Today's staff is little kind to us, 4 fansgirl. He gave us time to ask sign, but all I could get is just Kazuki's. I'm not sad, since my love for them isn't stronger than before. But one of my friend so sad, because she couldn't get Genki's.

I know I'mnot their big fans or true fans. But, when it cames to word..., I couldn't say it out properly! I said, "Please sign for me" in Japanese to Kazuki, my voice is litle tremble. When I got my chance, I said "Me too!" in Japanese too, Kazuki repeat my word and it kinda embrassing, lol.

Truly, they are kind! But the staff..., protect their artists, didn't give us much time. It hasn't 5 minutes, but he already said, "It's enough. Hurry, move!"

We  were sad but deeply happy! They didn't different from what I see on screen or pictures. Exactly, they are more awesome!!!
